CeMAP Qualification
You will not need academic qualifications to be able to pass the Cemap exams but one thing you will need is a strong desire to succeed in a highly competitive industry. Each of our CeMAP training courses last five-days, as they are constructed for individuals who are new to the mortgage industry and those that have no mortgage background whatsoever.

To attain the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP) qualification, you must achieve examination passes in each of the three CeMAP modules, namely:

The Mortgage Industry and CeMAP Qualifications
Since the tightening of legislation after the 31st October 2004 and the recent credit crunch, estimates show that that the number of CeMAP qualified personnel who are qualified to advise in the mortgage market has nearly halved. This loss means that the response time for processing mortgage enquiries is likely to increase, along with a rise in administrative difficulties, the risk of compensation claims, plus the dire need for new blood.
CeMAP Training Courses
As previously mentioned, you will not need to have academic qualifications to be able to pass the CeMAP exams but you will need a strong desire to succeed. The start to becoming a mortgage adviser is getting through the initial CeMAP training programme, successfully passing the CeMAP exams and then moving on to learning about how to become a mortgage adviser or a mortgage broker.
CeMAP Revision Courses
Do be aware that other organisations only offer self-study or two-day revision courses. In our opinion these are only suitable for people who have conducted at least 40-hours of home study prior to attending CeMAP revision courses.
